In 2006, the average dental school acceptee had a 3.5 GPA for their undergraduate study. Even most third-rate dental schools wouldn't accept someone like that unless they had really high DAT scores and had a great interview experience. And that's only to get into a third-rate school.answers 2:My sister in law is a dentist and we just had this conversation. Most likely not. Any specialty such as being a doctor, lawyer, or dentist needs to go to school after coll! age..obviously. It's a bit more harder to get into these schools then it is for regular collage. Think of it this way... Dental school is much more professional and intense. They do not want to waist their time with people who will slack off and not work hard. With a gpa that low, they probably would not be able to get into grad school. I am personally pleased to know this. I would not want a dentist who slacks off and is irresponsible. Would you?...answers 3:i mean i am not trying to be cynical, but they never do anything. i think they are just saying they are going to dental school but they take steps towards it. they just say they are going to dental school to impress people about what they are doing.
